Flappy Bird

Flappy Bird

How to Play

This game is an attempt at coding the classic game Flappy Bird. Across the levels, "Easy", "Medium", and "Hard", the game rules are the same. Your goal is to make it as long as possible without hitting one of the pipes or without hitting the ground. Each time you pass a pipe, you recieve a point, which is going to be counted to the left. There is no win; you play as long as you can to try to get as high a score as possible. A "Game Over" screen will appear when you have hit a pipe or hit the ground, meaning you must restart and try again.

The controls for the game are simple. To "flap," you must press the space bar. To start the game, you press Enter. To restart after Game Over, you can press Enter.

The difficulties of the levels are based upon the speed at which the pipes are moving and how much the bird moves each time you "flap". Thus, as the level gets harder the bird will flap higher and the pipes will be moving faster.

For the AI level, the objective of the game is slightly different. Instead of pipes, purple balloons will be coming at you, and your goal is to avoid them. Points are based upon how long you can last without getting hit. Once you get hit, it is game over and you must start again. Aside from that, the same controls will be used.
